Mongolian Beef

Note: Serve this with a side dish to make it a full meal!

Ingredients:

  • 10 oz Flank Steak (thinly sliced)

  • 2 tbsp Cornstarch

  • 1 tsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil

  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce

  • 1 tbsp Brown Sugar

  • 2 Garlic (cloves, minced)

  • 1/2 tsp Chili Flakes

  • 2 stalks Green Onion (finely chopped)

Directions:

  • Mix the sliced steak with cornstarch in a bowl.

  • Warm the oil in a heavy bottom skillet. Once hot, add the steak and cook over medium-high heat for about 10 minutes or until browned on all sides.

  • In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and chili flakes. Add the sauce to the steak, turn the heat down to low and let it simmer until thickened. Stir occasionally.

  • Once the sauce has reached your desired consistency, remove the skillet from the heat. Mix in the green onion and enjoy!
