Ingredients:

  • 2 slices toasted bread 

  • 3 pieces of tempeh bacon

  • 1 large portobello mushroom (sliced)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil 

  • 3 leaves romaine lettuce 

  • 1/2 tomato tomato (sliced)

  • 1/3 mashed avocado 

  • 1 tbsp hummus 

  • 1 tbsp vegan mayo 

  • 2 tsp hot sauce

Directions:

  • BMALT stands for [vegan] Bacon Mushroom Avocado Lettuce Tomato!

  • Heat a frying pan over medium heat and add olive oil. Remove the stem from the portobello mushroom and thinly slice. Add mushroom to pan with plenty of salt and pepper. Stir fry until the water has evaporated and mushrooms are beginning to brown. Then, move mushroom to one side of the pan, and grill tempeh bacon on the other.

  • Assemble your sandwich and enjoy!
